2024 IMPRS-IS Bootcamp was an event to remember!

The event took place at the AllgaüStern Hotel in Sonthofen, Germany from September 18 to September 20. 

Some highlights of the 2024 IMPRS-IS Boot Camp were:

• A keynote by IMPRS-IS faculty and MPI-IS director Michael Black
• Four scientific talks by IMPRS-IS faculty and associated faculty: Amirreza Aghakhani, Daniel Häufle, Ksenia Keplinger, and Antonio Orvieto
• Over 80 poster presentations by IMPRS-IS doctoral researchers
• A special talk about being a scientist by IMPRS-IS faculty Bob Williamson 
• A panel discussion about future career options featuring: Kai Arras, Luiz Chamon, Jonathan Fiene, Naureen Mahmood, Leila Masri, and Lukas Schott
• And 30 unique interactive learning sessions offered by IMPRS-IS faculty, senior scientists, and senior scholars

Also, we are excited to announce that dates for the 2025 IMPRS-IS Boot Camp have been selected! Next year’s event will take place from Wednesday, September 24, to Friday, September 26, 2025. We encourage everyone to mark their calendars as this event will take place at MPI-IS, and likely the campuses of our partner universities (specific details TBD). 

Thanks to everyone who works in someway to make our boot camps possible! The events really strengthen IMPRS-IS and create lasting memories for our doctoral researchers.
