Date: Thursday, May 2 Time: 11:00 - 17:30 CEST Location: MPI-IS Stuttgart Trainer: Angela Metzler
This workshop delves into the art of vocal coaching, focusing on essential elements such as proper breathing techniques, voice control, and building confidence in your spoken communication. Breathing and presence You will learn to connect with the process of involuntary breathing and how this can serve your wish to be present in the moment. Relaxing floor work will help to loosen inhibiting muscle tensions.
Vibrant speaking Find your personal natural voice. Feel how it resonates in your body. Discover the rich variety of your voice, its expressiveness and capability. Learn how the sound of your voice can travel with ease from you through the room to your audience.
Convincing the audience Understand more about habits that serve your wish to be present and confident in front of an audience and what on the contrary impedes.
Experience the effect of language that is not only technically produced but the unique result of a clear thought and the desire to speak- personal and vibrant - full of images, in a clear articulation and with your joy of speaking.
Please bring… As voice work -as I teach it -is always body work, please wear comfortable loose clothes, bring a blanket, towel or mat for the floor work and some lines of text (poem, story or speech) to work with in the language you usually use to speak in front of public (if not English or German please bring a rough translation). Other then that, there are no prerequisites!
